The Cat Lake


You must use proper cat fish tackle.

No carp gear is to be used, as it is just not up to banking the size of fish that live in the lake.

We recomend the use of ( teklon gold ) mono as your main line, as it is extremely thin for it’s braking strain.

The 69lb teklon gold mono is used by many of todays top catfish anglers, as it is lower in diameter than some 30lb lines and we strongly recomend it for your main line.

Braided mainline over 100lb is also acceptable.

Hooklinks should be strong and the ( 220lb pro cat link) from the CCG  is a good choice as it will bank even the biggest of cats.

We do have unhooking mats on the lake, but make sure you bring a very big weigh sling, again the CCG do a big one at a very reasonable price.

No 2 or multi hook rigs to be used ( single hook rigs only )

There is no rod limit.

There is a 2 angler limit.

Pricing

For single person, two people or small group bookings our (Self Drive Weeks) are available from £250 on Etang Niroux and £335 on Moulin de Bley per week per angler.

The cost of a weeks exclusive fishing on the Moulin de Bley main carp lake, for a maximum of 7 anglers, is £2,000 per week.

The cost of a weeks exclusive fishing on Niroux is £1,500 per week with a maximum of 6 anglers.

The cost of a weeks fishing on the Bley Cat lake is £290 each angler or £250 each angler if the lake is booked by 2 anglers booking as a pair fishing together for the £500.

La Traversenne ( Talmay ) can only be booked for exclusive parties of up to 6 anglers and the cost is £1,450 per week.
