La Travesenne Lake Rules

Premier Carp and Catfish fishing in France

Big thick unhooking mats are a must, as the gravel swims are very hard. The Nash ones on a frame are most welcome.

All mats are to be wet down before any carp are placed on them.

Micro barbed hooks or barbless to be used.

No shock leaders

All leads must be able to break free in the event of a break from the main line.

Any carp that become snagged up must be unsnagged via a row boat, do not pull for a break.

For snagged fish a boat is provided, or for baiting up one can be hired with an electric motor for 50 euro for the week

At least one months notice must be given in advance for row boat hire as there are only two on the lake.

Bait boats are allowed and it is advised that you bring your own  solar panel charger.

All rubish must be put into black bin bags and all glass must be kept seperate.
